In the face of all of the negativity floating around the community lately, I figure it's time to write something positive that I've wanted to say for a long time I don't know why I always forget that I can upload journals... I should do it more often!
Last night's journal was pretty much a joke though... just a bit of sarcasm and satire on my part. All it was was a single icon, and yet, people sure found plenty to say in the comments. LOL. I got more comments and favorites on that effortless pointless journal than a normal journal where I actually talk about stuff!
But real talk tonight. Time to ramble and say more words than anyone cares to read, as is my style lol
Yes, this community isn't perfect, and things happen. I might not personally like everything that goes on, but all-in-all, I really do love this (mostly FNAF) community that we've got going here.
It's full of wonderful, kind, friendly people (like yourself).... people of all ages. Sure, there are annoying people too, but just because someone is young doesn't mean they are automatically cringy or annoying.
Treat people with love and respect, and you will get that in return. But if you act like you have "crippling depression" and only talk in "memes", then you'll get comments in kind. People who comment on your stuff are generally looking to be on your side (they want you to like them). Especially if you inspire them. So, they will act like you, and comment how they think you want to see. So in essence, you define your own comment section lol.
That said, I always love and appreciate every single comment or bit of attention I get on here or any site. I might not respond to every single comment anymore... but I see them all. I see that person who "comment bombs" on 10-20 of my icons, and I appreciate you for taking the time to do that, even if I don't have anything to say in return
I absolutely love getting favorites too... every single one. Thank you to the person who "fav bombs" like 20 things in a row at once.... Favorites are great! They show you support me, even if you don't have anything to say. I'd rather get a fav, than a BS comment that I can't even reply to lol. Plus, faving is sharing. So yeah, I was never one to complain about getting favs, and I never will.
People love to throw the words "cringe" and "cancer" around, but they are both very very misused. Just because you don't like something, doesn't make it cringy, lol. If they like it, and their friends like it... then just leave them alone. Live and let live. They'll probably grow out of it eventually anyway
And if you don't like r-34, NSFW, or fetish stuff, then just don't see it. IDK, I manage to avoid it... why would I want to subject myself to something I don't want to see? lol
People say that kids and cringe and NSFW are ruining the fandom/community... but it's not. It's just making YOU mad... and triggering YOUR own opinion. The community/fandom is very strong, and that's because there are people who obviously like the things you don't like. You're the odd one out, not them.
However, with the enormous size of the community, it should be easy to just stick to the pocket of things you like, without subjecting yourself to that which you don't enjoy. Don't make yourself miserable lol.
And to people who find themselves "too good" to make FNAF content anymore, or perhaps don't like it now because of one reason or another... then don't make a big deal or drama about it. Just leave FNAF and do your own thing. Other people will rise up and take your place... people who actually like making content for the community. It is what it is, take it or leave it.
Your involvement in a fandom will come and go. It's natural for you to lose interest in something over time as your own hype and inspiration dies down. It's OK to move on, but to stick around and make yourself hate your life and bring those around you down, is pointless and detrimental.
So yeah, there are reasons for people to come and go. But I still love this FNAF community. It made me who I am, it grew me as a person, and I see people's lives getting better all around me. I have inspired people, and made an impact. How could I not like it?
I have always had great inspiration for making original things related to FNAF. There will always be more content to create. The only reason things get stale is because things get reproduced so many times (like song animations, memes, pics, etc). But maybe instead of copying someone else's thing, make your own unique thing? Animate a new song... FNAF a new meme, make your own thing that people will want to copy!
People say that there's too much competition in the community, and I agree somewhat. But is that bad? No. It separates the leaders from the followers... and the artists from the masses. I've struggled with the growing competition.... and staying original and unique for me has been a huge challenge. But, rather than get annoyed, it has helped me improve what I do, especially with SFM. But at the same time, I don't create art for attention or approval... it can be months in between uploads, because I don't care about the attention. I create SFM art as a hobby, because it allows me to express myself emotionally. I am inspired by my heart. There is no need to create filler, because this is NOT supposed to BE a competition.
Yes, people always love seeing more and more and more content, and that is motivating, but it's not the end of the world if I don't pump out mindless art every day. I have a life, and I don't make any money on FNAF content. And that to me, is what my community is about. This is supposed to be ART... not a performance. It's so easy to get drowned by it though... I've had to learn how to balance everything, and it's been hard. But it's worth it, because I love this fandom/community. I can make it better, by doing what I do, and being me. No need to cause drama or react emotionally.
I do consider myself incredibly lucky though, to be part of such an amazing community. Yeah, I kinda started it, but really, it would be nothing without all of you guys.... my watchers, fans, friends, fellow artists and creators, etc. And I really couldn't ask for a better group of people, you guys really are amazing As I said before, I love getting your comments and favs, and I love seeing the content you create, and the comments you get on your stuff. It really does feel like a family, founded on support for each other. We care about one another, and it goes way beyond just the upload. I mean, I could upload just a single pixel, and I'd get all kinds of wonderful lovely comments haha. It really is great to have you guys I'm actually very proud of the good I see being done, thanks to Scott Cawthon going viral with FNAF lol.
It's been a very scary "rise to popularity" for me, as I've gotten more and more attention, and my content spread to all ends of the internet. And even so.... I don't get hate... I don't get people talking down on my stuff or about me. I feel incredibly lucky, that I don't have to deal with those kinds of issues that most internet-popular people have to deal with. I guess I'm doing something right? I feel free to upload what I want (wisely), rather than hide or run from it. So, your support has been the #1 thing holding this community together. And I appreciate it greatly I'm not better than anyone else, I'm just another normal person, trying to do good in the world. So thank you for not treating me like a god or something, and making me feel like I can just talk with people normally, regardless of our age gap
I really do hate seeing my fellow content creators struggle with community/popularity issues. As your experienced friend, I want to help you deal with these things in a positive way, rather than you needing to keep it inside and then explode in a way that you later regret. I don't want the thing that brought you success and happiness to turn into your nightmare. I'm always around for you guys, and I've been through it all at this point. If you need a break, just take it. Give your viewers more credit... they will understand.
TBH, as time goes on, I see the FNAF community growing more positive and understanding. It seems that people, in general, are simply accepting that FNAF is what it is, and the fandom is what it is. Hating on it just isn't so cool anymore, it got old fast. I feel much more comfortable these days, in my own "chica skin" so to say, and not ashamed of my name or who I am. FNAF might not be cool, but who says it has to be #1? Everything just needs to be chill and relaxed and calm... no need for drama and mess. It does no one any good. Who cares about .... well, anything! lol. Life is meant to be enjoyed... so enjoy it. Don't let yourself get triggered by things, all you're doing is hurting yourself.
And as for the continuing drama with modelling.... eh, I've already written a journal on that stuff. I don't even care anymore lol. I'm just happy to see so many people making models these days Yes, it's a bit competitive at the moment, but it's because so many people are trying to make the best models possible. People are going to have opinions about this model or that being better.... but they are just opinions. Who cares, it's the internet, it's life.
This is all supposed to be fun and enjoyable... so if you're not enjoying yourself or having fun, then this community is not for you. Good luck finding a better one though, because TBH, it doesn't exist from what I've seen. FNAF still has the advantage of the enormous size of the fandom.... FNAF still gets views and comments. So you can try moving to another fandom, but don't get upset when none of your FNAF watchers is interested. People understand FNAF... they can relate to it.
TL: DR (wow I really can ramble)
You guys are great, and I want to continue being an inspiration and positive part of the great FNAF community/fandom I wouldn't be anything without you guys! You have changed my life for the better, and I'm thoroughly grateful.
Thanks again, and stay positive!

Whatever Happened To 'The Pimps'? A Documentary
Testing, testing, is this thing on? Wow it's been 2 years since I posted a journal on here! How time flies!
To anyone interested, I recently participated in a 2-hour interview with Michael over at Mr.RAWEEE on the subject of "The Pimps" (don't worry, the video isn't that long lol). Michael graciously took it upon himself to interview several of us regarding the events of 2015-2016 and then edit/narrow our answers down into a single documentary. It's really well done and worth the watch, and it helps bring to light some more behind-the-scenes things that were going on from our perspective that led to the downfall of us as content creators
The FNAF song animation to end all FNAF animations
While I might be dead, at least someone is still creating incredible FNAF content. ~reservedTV (https://www.deviantart.com/reservedtv)
Just in case you haven't seen it yet already, this is the most insane and professional FNAF song animation I've ever seen. If anything deserves millions of views, this is it. Enjoy!
I would really love to know more about this and how it was done, because I'd love to see it inspire more quality content like this. Content that requires time, effort, and money to create.
I'm just glad people still put this kind of effort into something FNAF related. So many others have given up or moved on, but they just left openings for content like this.
2 years on DeviantArt!
The 22nd is special for many reasons, but it marks the day that I started uploading FNAF here on my DA back before I even had the gold94chica name. So I thought that it would be cool to reminisce about how I started on here, since probably most of you who read this weren't around back then.
Ah, back before I had found my place. I was posting Pokémon plushies and toys...
photographs of posters.....
and photo edits like this:
yep, exactly two years now :) It's fun to consider how things began, especially before I got noticed and people cared about me or what I did.
You guys sure gave me the motivation to step up my game and improve
FNAF Community Drama of the Day: Typhoon Cinema
Why does it feel like I host some kind of DeviantArt version of FNAF DramaAlert? lol
As many of you in the FNAF community know, the YouTube "community channel" known as Typhoon Cinema was deleted/removed/taken off YouTube this past week, thanks to multiple copyright claims from people who I don't need to name.
And since then, I've seen nothing but celebrating and hate on Typhoon Cinema. It's like the FNAF Sister Location Anti-Hate Rant all over again :P
And while I do understand that these people don't like Typhoon Cinema, or the animations they upload.... clearly, a LOT of people do. These videos wouldn't get a million views each, with
